As an employee or visitor walks into an office, they can immediately sense the company’s culture and much more by the colors, décor, branding, and furniture choices. Each company has its own values and mission that can be reflected intentionally or not, by the aesthetics and branding of their furnishings, color palette, materials and finishes, objects on display, within their office space. An organization can promote their values and brand through their interior aesthetics.
Some suggest that colors can influence people’s experience with a space. For instance, blue can be calming or sad, so adding warm tones to blue creates a balance. Green is related to nature and renewal or healing, even being connected to creativity. Red is a warm color that increases blood flow and adrenaline, provoking competition. Yellow is the happy color.
