Height adjustable table

This recommendation contributes to improvements in
Individual Workspace

A height-adjustable table allows everyone to customize the height to what is most ergonomically comfortable, regardless if seated, standing, or somewhere in-between. Height adjustable tables allow for natural movement between sitting and standing. Standing alleviates pressure from the back and increases our blood flow but causes fatigue faster.

Adjustable tables can help to create a more inclusive environment, including workers with different levels of mobility, aging, size and weight. Organizations can increase employee comfort and prevent injury through adjustable tables. Research shows the negative health consequences of sitting all day which can lead to higher health insurance costs, days lost, and less productivity from their workers.

Coupled with technology (built-in, or a phone app), workers can vary between positions throughout the day, improving circulation and possibly reducing the risk of musculoskeletal injury.
